Dr. Bowers is a native of Blue Ridge, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Georgia and medical school training at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Bowers completed a family medicine residency at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood, South Carolina. He worked as a primary care physician in Summerville, Georgia before opening Bowers Family Medicine. He is board certified in Family Medicine, and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Bowers is an avid UGA fan, and he enjoys participating in church activities and fishing. He currently resides in La Fayette with his wife, Amy, a School Psychologist.
